This group meets monthly on the first Monday of each month at 12 noon at the Concord Senior Center located at 817 Concord Road, Glen Mills, PA 19342.

  • The June meeting will be a Spring Luncheon on June 5, 12 noon, at the Courtyard at Concordville Inn.  Registration is required.
  • The July meeting will be the “Annual Birthday Bash” to take place on July 27.
    Members will be sent an invitation.
  • There will be no meeting in August.
  • The next regular meeting will take place on September 5.

On June 5, 2017, Concord Senior Citizens installed new officers (above).  After four years of service, the following individuals have completed their term as officer:
Sue Galla – President, Eileen Shomo – Vice President, Ginny Fitzpatrick – Treasurer and Agnes Coggins – Recording Secretary.

The Senior Community Services (SCS) offers an exciting array of classes to educate, inspire, and encourage you.  Created specifically to serve adults 50+ in western Delaware County, the Center for Life Long Learning (CLLL) brings adult education offerings to you.  In Concord, classes are held at the Rachel Kohl Library.
Other Delaware County course locations are in Aston, Brookhaven and Springfield.

Delaware County Office of Services for the Aging (COSA) has a mission to plan, develop, coordinate and administer a comprehensive and coordinated service system for older county residents.  Their goal is to help provide well-being while maintaining independence and dignity in a home environment for as long as possible.

Annual Senior Citizens Expo

Sponsored by the Concord Township Council, the Expo is usually held in the fall at the Brandywine Youth Club Gymnasium, 41 S. Thornton Road.  Over 80 exhibitors from state agencies and local organizations, businesses, and clubs are on hand to share their expertise and information on services and issues important to you.

Refreshments are served and many door prizes are awarded throughout the day.

This is the perfect opportunity to enjoy the sounds of the Summit Hill Bluegrass Band, meet your neighbors, and take advantage of the services available to you.

Garnet Valley Gherkins Pickleball Club

A popular game with local seniors, pickleball is a combination of ping pong, badminton and tennis.

Concord Township is the home of Garnet Valley Gherkins Pickleball Club.
Using the Brandywine Youth Club’s Gymnasium (located at 41 S. Thornton Rd.), the Gherkins group hosts games and practice time several days a week,
