During the General Primary Election on April 26, 2016, Concord Township residents voted to accept the proposed Home Rule Charter.

 

Concord Home Rule Charter – ballot question

Shall the Home Rule Charter contained in the report, dated February 11, 2016, of the Concord Township Government Study Commission, prepared in accordance with the Home Rule Charter and Optional Plans Law, be adopted by the Township of Concord?

YES – 2,674

NO –   1,833

In November 2014, Concord Township residents said “yes” to a ballot question authorizing a seven-person panel to study the existing form of government and make a recommendation about a possible change.

The Government Study Commission members, selected by Concord Township voters in the November 4, 2014 election, were sworn in on November 25, 2014.
