The seven-member Park and Recreation Board plans and coordinates a variety of events during the year, including the Snowman/Snow Creation Contest, Easter Egg Hunt, Harvest Festival and Holiday Celebration/Photos with Santa.

SNOWMAN / SNOW CREATION CONTEST
Runs through March 31, 2017

The Annual Snowman / Snow Creation Contest runs until the end of March.  All ages are welcomed and encouraged to participate in Concord Township’s snow creation contest.  Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Most Creative.  Winners will be presented at a Township Council spring public meeting.

EASTER EGG HUNT
April 8, 2017 @ 11 a.m.
(Rain Date:  April 9 @ 1 p.m.)
40 Bethel Road

The Easter Bunny arrives annually via fire truck.  Have the children bring their baskets to participate in the egg hunt.  Enjoy snacks, crafts, and more.
Egg hunt begins at 11:15 a.m. SHARP.

The Concord Township Yard Sale, originally scheduled for June 3, 2017, has been CANCELLED due to a lack of participation.

Concord Township’s Movie Night is a free, fun-filled night outdoors watching a movie on the big screen.  Bring your blanket or chair.  Concessions will be sold.

CONCORD COMMUNITY DAY
September 9, 2017 @ 4 p.m.

Township Park on Smithbridge Road

Lots of fun and games for all ages.  Egg toss, sack races, egg on a spoon race, and the Oreo game just to name a few.  The night ends with Fireworks at Dusk.

DOG COSTUME CONTEST

Prior to the start of the Harvest Festival, there is a separate Halloween Costume Contest for dogs.

HARVEST FESTIVAL
October 28, 2017 – from 1-4 p.m.
(Rain Date:  October 29)
40 Bethel Road

This yearly festival held in October at 40 Bethel Road includes a Halloween costume parade for children, hay rides, pony rides/petting zoo, face painting, pumpkin painting, music, antique cars and more.

Children’s Halloween Costume Parade starts @ 1:30 p.m.

Additionally, residents are encouraged to submit their baked goodies for the annual baked goods contest.  Entries will be judged on taste, appearance, and creativity.

Baked goods should be brought that day to 40 Bethel Road from 9-11 a.m.

CONCORD CELEBRATES THE HOLIDAYS
December 8, 2017 – 6-8 p.m.
Concord Community Center – 45 Thornton Road

Celebrate the holidays with Concord Township.  Enjoy cookies and milk, holiday games and crafts.

Santa will visit and will be available to hear wishes and take photos.
